I genuinely wonder, when Azriel’s book comes out and he does end up with Gwyn, would E/riel’s tag the book as #anti aco?? like some fans do with ACOSF, and talk about how awful the book was, and that he’s been written out of character? I could honestly see it.

Azriel is gonna realize he has feelings for Gwyn, he’s gonna say something somebody doesn’t like, he’s gonna do something “wrong”, he’s gonna act how he acted in his bonus chapter and people are gonna scream two things: out of character and abusive 😭

One of my pet peeves about acosf was people screaming character annihilation on Nesta and cassian, when it was the first time we ever truly got their pov, so how could they be out of character or regressed as characters? I know antis are gonna do the same with the next book, I can already see the arguments they are gonna try to make.

And I know in my heart that when elriel doesn’t happen people will turn on Elain more than az, because many people in this fandom are just horny degenerates who wanna read about az’s dick and they ain’t gonna care who’s vagina he’s sticking it in at the end of the day so long as they get his smut🙄. Elain will be turned on, I’m telling you.

And when gwynriel does happen, they’ll be some people trying to be fake gwyn stans cause she’s with az, hence why I’m gonna gatekeep my fav red head from their claws.

I honestly don’t know what trajectory the crazier elriel stans will take, some of them have threatened to harm sjm and her child if the next book is gwynriel, so I see some lawsuits coming when they don’t get their way💀. I already know they’ll tag the book as “anti aco” and say sjm sucks as a writer and fumbled, or how out of character az and Elain are lmao.

It will be an interesting time for this fandom though 🤷🏼‍♀️

What fandoms do you write for? I have written for many different fandoms over the course of my time here on tumblr such as the Supernatural fandom (many still up on tumblr) but currently I write for Assassin's Creed Odyssey and the MJ fandom!

What are your top five fics by kudos? The Odyssey That Should Have Been: 71 The Way The Wind Blows: 7 (this one is newer lol)

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Absolutely!!! After the initial bit where I'm mushy and gushing over said comment, I try to be a bit more constructive in my response LOL

What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? It's not finished yet (maybe never will be lmao) but 'The Odyssey That Should Have Been' is based off the First Blade DLC so it's got it's fair share of super angst but also humor and romance and joy!

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? All of my characters must get a happy ending, NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!!!!!

Do you get hate on fics? I haven't yet and honestly, if you hate on someone's piece that they put a lot of work into - fuck you lol

I'd like to think I'm pretty good at A) dialogues, I just feel like I'm really good at writing what my characters are saying and I find myself often being like "oh that was a good line" LOL and B) historical facts. I pride myself on being somewhat historically accurate and to the time I'm writing in.

What are your writing weaknesses? Probably descriptions of scenery though I do my best. I also overthink when I'm trying to write a very simple scene and people 'nod' or 'chuckle' and 'look' too much lol

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I already sort of have Greek and Persian words for certain things in 'The Odyssey That Should Have Been'!

With WoT s3 officially wrapped and in editing, I feel it's a good time to reiterate my policy on spoilers, as well as establish my position on leaks/pre release information-

I deliberately avoid things like casting leaks, shooting locations, episode titles, etc, as much as is feasible. I am not really interested in speculating based on this information as I consider it largely not relevant, especially without context.

I think people can get worked up and develop strong pre-conceptions about this information that can hinder the ability to enjoy the work, create misleading expectations, or act as confirmation bias. So I generally avoid even engaging with discourse about pre-release information short of a trailer or stills.

My book spoiler tag is 'WoT Book Spoilers' followed by the abbreviated version of the book title the spoiler hails from, i.e 'LoC Spoilers' 'ACOS spoilers' etc. I tag for the 'furthest out' book just to be safe- even if it's just a mention of a character who doesn't appear until later.

Conversely I do not tag spoilers for material the series has already reached or covered. So at present I am not tagging book spoilers for Eye of the World or the Great Hunt. This is mostly relevant to meta- as I consider talking about the already covered material and how it compares or contrasts to not really be a spoiler.

My show spoiler tag for when it starts airing is going to be tied to the episode and the season. So spoilers in the premiere will be tagged 'wot s3 e1', the finale 'wot s3 e8' and so on. I will keep this up more or less for a month after the finale airs, then revert to just using 'WoT s3' as my tag.

um. i have 100 followers here now!!!!! so here's something i've wanted to do for a little bit. i remade an item of clothing i own in real life, the official cobra starship booty shorts, that are now sadly sold out. but now your sims can have them! i couldn't find graphics of the logos, so i redrew them myself.

the shorts are a recolor of @saruin's sports set shorts (each v1), and thanks to their generous tou, i'm pretty sure you don't need the meshes!!!! however, i love their cc, so you should download it anyway. (fem frame set, masc frame set)

i also made a color palette!!! all the colors are color-picked off of the "hot mess" album cover, and each pair is named after a song – excluding the last pair, which is a lyric from guilty pleasure.

OC Name Meanings

Ah, well. I love this 🥰 I indeed put a lot of thoughts into my OC's names and they're chosen with care. Or, well, mostly. I do have preferences for starting letters, funnily enough - A, J, L and M are favourites of mine.

Let's go alphabetically for my latest OCs:

Adriene Hawke | a variation of Adrienne, female form of Adrian, anglizised version of Hadrianus. Originally "man from Adria", and Adria in turm comes from the word adur = water. So her name means "of water", though I remember once finding something about it meaning "dark" (though I cannot find any source for that). Considering I associate her strongly with fire, the name is kind of ironic. 😅 Mostly, I chose it because I like the sound of it, and I wanted a name starting with A (firstborn Hawke child, followed by Bethany and Carver). In an original story, I changed her name to "Alexis", which comes from "defend" - which is immensely fitting for her character who is, in essence the ultimative defender of her family.

Aisling (Ash) Lightheart | an Irish name meaning dream or vision. Ash cannot remember a time when she didn't have the Echo, so she often looked like she was daydreaming when in truth, she was having a vision. A deliberate choice for a quiet, drawn-back character. Her surname, Lightheart, comes from Jorin Lightheart, the founder of conjury. I deliberately made Ash come from a very old, traditional Gridania family - however, the actual surname of the family is "Pota" and that is the name they are famous under. They changed the name after I-Ohok-Pota took his padjal name. Ash goes by Lightheart to be more independent of her family without seceding from them.

M'ajah Lohani | That name was created from the desire to have a name that works both in the full as in the short version (as in "Maia" as well as "Aya"). Maia, the goddess of spring and growth, for a character that was made as a healer and coming from Gridania. M of course for the miqo'te M tribe, and Ajah as a version of Aya, meaning "wonderful". I was inspired by ACO's character Aya which I love a lot ;) Lohani was a random surname.

Megan Varlineau | Megan's name was chosen mostly bc I just like that name :D It's Welsh for "pearl". In the end, it's a fitting name, bc that character and her story are still hidden inside me - oh, how poetic ;) Varlineau for obvious shipping reasons.

Iron Age Colour Palette

Based on some Internet research and certain photos I took in the ancient village of Biskupin some... 16 years ago? 17? My my, time flies... I created a colour palette to use for my Iron Age creations/recolours. 'Iron Age' in a very broad sense - you could as well call it 'natural dyes palette', so you can safely use it also for many later eras.

Includes 40 colours.

Apart from pigments you could get using plants native to Europe (where the GBSC, obviously, takes place, so this was my reference point) I included also some which are a bit more exotic, but I felt like richer people would still have a chance to obtain them by trade. I mean here mostly dyer's madder, which afaik grows only in warmer climates. What I didn't include are dyes coming from very faraway places. So if you've already noticed the striking absence of indigo and wondered what happened to it, that's your answer.

an .aco file for those of you who use Photoshop (BIG shoutout to @peebsplays who just went ahead and made it for me from hex codes in the txt file 😭 Thank you!) - though I'm afraid you have to research yourself where to put it, as I don't even have Photoshop 🙃

a .pdf file with some completely unnecessary info, just in case you're interested in where those colours come from. Here a little side note: in some cases you can get WAY more colours from a certain ingredient than I listed, but because I already had similar ones on the list, I skipped them. Take apple trees, for example: I remember seeing so many yellows and greens in that 'dyeing with apples' post, but as I already had them in the palette, the only apple shades included are pinkish or brownish.

Oh, and I feel like I should add a disclaimer: as in reality I've never dyed anything, let alone with natural dyes, it totally might be that I made some mistakes. Don't quote me on this in your PhD thesis ;)

Tagged by @elavoria and @dirty-bosmer a while back and uuuh, I forgot ^^; Anyway, as I don't want to spoil ACoS, have a bit from the Sol project:

Over this particular realm of Oblivion ruled a librarian who was no more a common sight than Sol himself: an elderly orc. Granted, Sol did not know much about the green-skinned elves, but among the threadbare patches of knowledge was that orcs loved neither magic nor the elderly, for it was said they sent their old out into the wilds to die to a worthy foe—whether that was true was anyone's guess; Sol had never seen an orc up close, much less asked whether they made grandpa play fetch with bears and sabre cats, but perhaps that was how Urag gro-Shub had ended up in this crumbling fortress at the end of the world. Here, where the outside world was as far away as the deepest reaches of Oblivion, kin, creed, and culture lost all meaning.
